Digital I/O
With digital I/O cards, static or dynamic bit patterns can be generated or recorded. Each bit is assigned a control signal for an output and a sensor signal for an input. The usual voltage range for the inputs and outputs is between 2 V (TTL) and 24 V (automation).

Semiconductor Testing
The integrated PXI platform and the open interfacing provides extension capabilities for additional testing requirements like DUT specific resistors-networks or temperature sensors. The Test System comes with the ready-to-run GTSoftware package and allows easy programming of test sequences (GTbuilder) and fast execution in production/test mode (GTengine).

With so-called synchro/resolver cards, rotation angle sensors that work according to the synchro/resolver principle can be measured. Depending on the angle of rotation, these generate a sine and cosine signal, in order to determine the position and direction of rotation.

An arbitrary waveform generator (ArbGen) is an extended function generator (FGen/FuncGen) that can generate freely programmable signals in addition to standard waveforms such as sine, square, triangle or trapezoid. In general, the voltage/current as well as the frequency/duration of the output signal can be freely adjusted.

PXI High Resolution Waveform Digitizer Family
PXD730x
The PXD730x High Resolution Waveform Digitizer family features up to two 100MS/s simultaneously sampled input channels with 16Bit resolution, input voltages up to ±60V and a bandwidth up to 50MHz. Every digitizer channel has its own 2MB memory which allows up to 1 million samples. Data can be acquired before and after the trigger event with a programmable sample counter, that controls the number of data points.
