Free Room Temperature Bore Systems
-
The cryomagnetic system contains the cryogen free room temperature bore superconducting magnet, cryostat, cryocooler and compressor, temperature monitor unit (nominally Lakeshore) and HTS current leads. The cooling for the magnet and cryostat housing is provided by a standard cryocooler with a base temperature of 4K. The magnet is designed to operate safely at the guaranteed field without quenching.

Fast Ramping Magnet Systems
-
Cryogenic Ltd has developed a new range of fast-sweeping cryogen-free superconducting magnets using high-performance Nb3Sn coils. These magnets provide an ideal platform for XMCD and other polarity switching applications. No liquid cryogens are required offering superb economy and ease of use in comparison with liquid helium alternatives.

Mini-MRI Systems
-
Magnets for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are required to generate a high homogeneity field over the imaging volume which remains stable in time.

Cryocoolers
-
Cryogenic uses various cryocoolers with cooling powers to suit different cryogen free magnet systems and applications. The Gifford-McMahon cycle cryocooler has the advantage of greater thermodynamic efficiency. The pulse-tube cryocooler is vibrationally quieter, has a longer service interval and cools faster from room temperature.

Neutron Scattering and Beamline Systems
-
For optical, neutron and particle beam experiments, Cryogenic offers a range of split pair magnets. These allow strong magnetic fields to be produced in a small volume with maximum access to the working space. Split pair coils can be mounted to provide either a vertical field with horizontal access or a horizontal field offering horizontal or vertical access.

Magnet & Integrated Variable Temperature Sample Space With DR Insert
-
Adapted MCK model DR inserted into 50 mm 1.6 K300 K VTI VTI cooling power used for condensing stage of DR Versatile solution as the magnet system can also be used with other inserts and measurement probes including He3, heated probes, rotator, VSM etc.

AC Susceptibility
-
The AC Susceptometer option uses a small primary excitation coil to apply an AC field to a sample (typically 1mT at frequencies from 0.1 Hz 10000 Hz). A pair of secondary pick-up coils positioned close to the excitation coils are used to detect the sample response.

Thermal Transport
-
The thermal transport probe measures thermal conductivity and thermoelectric power (defined by the Seeback Coefficient). Electrical and thermal contacts are made to opposite ends of the sample allowing for customisation to suit the sample requirements of the user.

Product
High Temperature VSM probe
-
To perform measurements at or above room temperature, separate heated sample probes are offered for electrical or magnetic measurements. In normal operation, the CFMS has a continuous temperature range of 1.6 K to 400 K. With these inserts the range can be extended up to 1000 K.

High Resolution Magnet Systems
EPR
-
EPR samples with S=1/2 electronic spins exhibiting a narrow signal at G=2 and require magnetic fields of only ca. 3.5 T. However, EPR spectra from S>1/2 spins are typically much broader and have spectral features that spread over magnetic field range of several Tesla.

Cryogen Free Ultra-Low Temperature Systems
ULT
-
The magnet and associated cryostat is designed and built at Cryogenic Ltd. The dilution refrigerator (DR) is designed and built by Giorgio Frossati at Leiden Cryogenic. The whole system is tested, delivered, installed and guaranteed by Cryogenic Ltd.

Solid State NMR
-
Magnets for NMR experiments are required to have a high homogeneity, which can be maintained over a wide range of field. Experiments are performed at fixed frequency and the spectrum is obtained by sweeping the magnetic field. This requires the field to be stable in spatial homogeneity and change steadily and repeatedly over time.
