Optical Power And Energy Meters
-
Thorlabs' expanding line of optical power and energy meters includes power meter consoles, a large selection of sensor heads, a wireless power meter with a built-in photodiode sensor, and a fiber optic power meter designed for use in the field. The consoles (PM100, PM400, and PM300 Series) when paired with our extensive line of power and energy sensors provide calibrated (NIST traceable) measurements across a broad range of powers, energies, and wavelengths. The console(s) and sensor(s) can be purchased individually or as bundles based on our most popular console and sensor pairings. The sensor calibration data is stored in the sensor head and is automatically read by the console, which allows the user to use multiple sensors with the same console. Compatible sensors are easily identified by the red c-series connector. All of our old A/B-Type sensors are available with the new connector; plus, we have continued to expand our power and energy sensor product lines.

OCT Imaging
-
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging on the system, subsystem, and component level. Our drive for innovation is shaping our entire rapidly expanding product line. Complete SD-OCT systems are available that are out-of-the-box ready for biological, industrial, and research applications. In addition to our standard OCT systems, Thorlabs offers Doppler OCT extensions for specialized applications. For customers building or modifying their own system, a line of components that have been tested for use in OCT applications is available. In addition to the growing portfolio of standard OCT systems that we offer, Thorlabs is dedicated to providing OCT solutions to meet specific applications. Please contact us to discuss how our OCT technologies can be applied to meet your unique requirements.

Detectors
-
Thorlabs' photodetectors are capable of detecting light throughout the UV, VIS, NIR, IR, and THz spectral regions. Our photodetectors feature sensors that enable properties such as intensity, power, intensity distribution, wavefront shape, energy, and wavelength to be measured. We offer unmounted photodiodes as well as amplified, biased, and avalanche photodetectors. Thermal power detectors are available unmounted, mounted on a PCB, or mounted on an aluminum plate. Also available are position-detecting sensors, integrating spheres, and an acoustic detection module.

Portable Connector End Face Geometry Interferometer
-
Thorlabs’ Vytran® Connect-Chek® Interferometer automatically and precisely measures radius of curvature, apex offset of polish, and fiber undercut or protrusion on any PC or APC, single-fiber connector. The CC6000 interferometer uses a non-contact tilted-phase-analysis technique for fast, reliable measurements of connector end faces. This compact interferometer has a carrying handle and must be attached to a desktop or laptop computer (not included) with a standard USB 2.0 port for operation. The included CC6000 software, which is used to control the interferometer, can be installed on a computer with the minimum requirements in the table below. Designed for use in both the factory and the field, this interferometer provides crucial quality information needed to assure long-term performance of fiber optic connectors. One CC250P Mount for Ø2.50 mm PC Connectors and one RT250P Reference Tool for calibrating the CC250P mount are included with the CC6000 interferometer; mounts and reference tools that enable measurement of other PC or APC, single-fiber connectors are available separately below. When used with an appropriate mount for APC connectors, the CC6000 interferometer is also capable of measuring the APC angle and key error.

Transmitters
-
We offer reference transmitters for both digital and linear applications, calibrated electrical-to-optical converters for use with VNAs, and optical transmitters with phase modulators. These devices are based on proven lithium niobate (LiNbO3) modulator technology driven by high-fidelity RF amplifiers.

Mode-Conditioned Light Sources
-
Thorlabs' Mode-Conditioned Light Sources are fiber-coupled LED sources that have an output with a flat-top profile in the far field. Common applications include the testing of multimode fused fiber components as well as verification of modal behavior in fiber-based setups. Standard fiber-coupled LED sources can have a range of output profiles that are usually not uniform and vary from source to source. This can be dependent on emitter orientation, alignment with fiber tip, and connector assembly. These mode-conditioned sources have been engineered to distribute light evenly into all transverse modes, resulting in an equilibrium modal distribution at the output. The front panel includes an adjustment knob to control the power and an output port that accepts 2.2 mm wide-key FC/PC connectors. A DS15 15 V power supply with a location-specific plug is included with each device.

M² Measurement Systems
-
Thorlabs' M2 Measurement Systems provide self-contained, turn-key solutions for measuring M2, divergence, focus diameter, waist position, Rayleigh length and other laser beam quality metrics. Pre-configured, factory-aligned systems covering wavelength ranges between 250 nm and 2700 nm are available. Choose from among systems that have a scanning-slit beam profiler, a camera beam profiler, or no beam profiler.

Electro-Optic Modulators
-
Thorlabs’ selection of electro-optic (EO) modulators includes free-space and fiber-coupled LiNbO3 modulators. Free-space amplitude, phase, or resonant modulators can operate at speeds up to 100 MHz. We also offer liquid crystal EO modulators for speeds up to 2.5 kHz. Fiber-coupled intensity, phase, or IQ modulators for speeds up to 40 GHz can be driven by our EO modulator drivers. A modulator bias controller is also available for use with fiber-coupled intensity modulators.

Galvo-Resonant Scan Head and Controller
-
Our LSK-GR08(/M) Galvo-Resonant Scanner contains one resonant scan mirror and one galvo scan mirror that deflect an incident laser beam in X and Y, respectively. Identical to the galvo-resonant scanner used in our Bergamo® II multiphoton microscopes and complete Cerna®-based confocal systems, the 8 kHz resonant frequency of the resonant scan mirror enables much higher-speed scans than a galvo-galvo system. In our Bergamo system, the scanner can achieve 30 fps at 512 x 512 pixels image resolution.
