The Polatis Series 6000 Network Optical Switch is a high-performance, fully non-blocking all-optical matrix switch available in sizes from 8x8 up to 192x192. It is designed to meet the highest performance and reliability needs of the most demanding applications with exceptionally low optical loss, compact size, low power requirements and fast switching speeds. With support of Software-Defined Networks (SDNs) via an embedded NETCONF and RESTCONF control interfaces, the Series 6000 enables extremely low latency for time-critical traffic required for new virtual cloud services in hybrid packet-optical data centers. The Series 6000 is based on Polatis’ patented DirectLight® optical switching technology that has been proven in the most challenging data center, telecom and defense applications and is also used by major network equipment manufacturers to automate testing of optical components and subsystems.

Scalable LXI MEMS Fiber Optic Switching
This LXI Optical Switching range consists of our LXI Scalable Chassis (model 65-200-002) that can be easily reconfigured by the removal and insertion of our optical switching plug-in modules shown below. The unit is purchased as an empty chassis along with the number of plug-in modules initially required (up to six optical matrix or multiplexer modules). As your requirements evolve, additional modules can be easily added, and the control software automatically detects the new configuration. The plug-ins are loaded into the chassis via the front panel, greatly improving the flexibility and ease of maintenance of the unit.

The new format FPD has a proprietary panel structure with a double layer of amorphous selenium that has high X-ray absorption properties, and was developed by combining Fujifilm''s "Device Development Technology" and "Vacuum Deposition Technology." The first layer efficiently converts X-rays into electrical signals, while the second layer employs the unique "Direct Optical Switching Technology," that captures higher resolution and lower noise image electrical signals rather than using electrical switches such as conventional TFTs. By achieving both "50µm fine pixel size (higher resolution) and low noise," the AMULET system can show microcalcifications and tumors in greater detail, both significant indicators for early diagnosis of breast cancer.
