Free of radioactive radiation, laser sensors are used in the cold strip areas that do not require protection measures with laser class 2, or only low precautions when using laser class 3B sensors. The installation of our measurement systems is quick and uncomplicated for our customers. The CALIX is integrated into the line with its C-shaped frame across the material flow. Our solutions with and without traversing determine all important parameters for quality assurance, including strip thickness, edge thickness, wedge or cambering, and measure the complete thickness profile. Thus, you have full process control in the current production.

The ULP S2 Spectra Sensor tests for LED intensity, and for any color in the visual spectrum, plus white. The S2 Spectra Sensor is well-suited for the test of “boundary” color LEDs, as it can unambiguously and repeatedly distinguish between not only adjacent visual colors such as green and yellow, but it can determine different hues of the same color such as yellow and amber, regardless of LED intensity. This test determines the effects of direct solar radiation on components and material. The heating effects of solar radiation differ from those of high air temperature in that the amount of heat absorbed depends on the roughness and color of the surface on which the radiation is incident and the angle of incidence to the sun. Variations in the intensity of solar radiation over the surface of the component, may cause components to expand or contract at different rates, which can lead to severe stresses and loss of structural integrity. In addition, degradation due to photo-chemical changes can occur such as fading of color, deterioration of natural and synthetic elastomers and polymers. The test items that are subjected to solar radiation testing are those that are exposed to solar radiation during its life cycle, in the open, in warm climates.
