End of Line Noise Test Systems from VIacoustics are designed to support end of line product noise testing on factory floors and quality assurance environments. Using the Limit Analysis features of the Nelson Acoustic Trident software, users can set noise emission maximum, minimum or control range criteria based on Awtd and/or 1/N octave band criteria. Criteria can be customized for most any type of product based on the noise emissions of known good and bad units. The large front panel Pass/Fail indicator allows operators to quickly determine if units meet the criteria. Data on units that fail can be exported for further analysis.

Rovsing has developed a modular test system architecture, based on S/W and H/W modules developed by Rovsing for most common space interfaces such as Power, TM/TC, MIL-STD-1553B and SpaceWire. The relational test database is the pivotal point of the software structure. On one hand, this is where the test applications and test systems used for productive testing are stored; on the other hand, it provides the storage space for all DUT-related test data. Depending on customer requirements, the test database may either be hosted locally on the test system or centrally on a server, supporting several test systems. The database performance is sufficient for a high-volume production environment with many test systems which access the central database in parallel. LXinstruments prefers to implement the database as a license-free MySQL database; it is however also possible to realize a version based on Microsoft SQL.

Full band noise figure and gain test extenders are offered to extend noise and gain measuring capabilities up to higher millimeterwave frequency ranges. These extenders are designed to interface with noise and gain test systems that have an input IF of 10 MHz to 1.6 GHz, such as the industry standard Keysight 8970A/B, N8975A and Maury MT 2075B. The noise figure and gain test extenders include a high-performance, solid-state noise source (STZ series) and a full waveguide down converter (STC series), which consists of a Faraday isolator (STF series), full band mixer (SFB series), frequency multiplier, and IF amplifier. A frequency source with an output signal in the frequency range of 10 to 20 GHz is required as a local oscillator for the down converter. The noise source is automatically powered on and off by the noise figure meter.
