Taylor Dynamometer’s RS-8K Towing Dynamometer is designed for testing today’s mid-sized cars and SUVs. The RS-8K is built with an all aluminum frame, an aerodynamic body and rides on an independent, air ride suspension and uses an eddy current absorber with special high temperature coils to absorb energy. The RS-8K is powered by an industrial generator, so unlike battery/alternator Towing Dynamometers, there are no lead-acid batteries to charge and testing time is unlimited at low speeds.
