Rovsing delivers systems for complete satellite or satellite subsystem testing. Rovsing has developed a modular test system architecture, based on S/W and H/W modules developed by Rovsing for most common space interfaces such as Power, TM/TC, MIL-STD-1553B and SpaceWire. A dedicated test system can then be composed by configuration of the modular architecture, installation of monitoring and control software, as well as test definition and scheduling software as required. Besides reduced development time, this has the advantage that the system to a large extent consists of elements that have been validated on previous missions.

The PCI102 allows testing of AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.3 modules in a PC environment during development and manufacturing; reducing the costs associated with maintaining different platforms. The PCI101 is a PCI-X edge style carrier with PCIe x4 lanes going to the AMC module. The AMC.1 module connects to the host PC’s PCI-X bus via a PCI-X to PCI ebridge. The AMC.2 module’s GbE ports are routed to RJ-45s. The AMC.3 differential pairs are routed to two SATA connectors. ThePCI102 is available with an optional VT001 IPMI controller which can test the AMC IPMI management functionality. The dual I2C bus connectors allow for connecting any I2C bus to any other I2C bus as well as being able to debug and monitor the I2C bus traffic. Provides two current sense resistors to measure the payload power as well as the management power of the AMC. The PCI102 can be powered on the bench without the host PC.

The module includes several hull penetrations, including four (4) penetrations that can accommodate WetLabs ECO pucks, two external wet plugs that can provide power and serial communication for external devices, one slot for a SeaBird CTD, one penetration that can accommodate an Aanderaa Optode oxygen sensor, as well as a weak link on the bottom of the module. The weak link provides the option of towing an external sensor and reduces stress on the wet plug.
