The M8KDiscrete module provides a complete solution for developing and testing discrete voltage-level interfaces. The M8KDiscrete contains control I/O registers that are memory-mapped and may be accessed in real time. The module supports ten programmable I/O discretes that can record or control the external discretes that are connected to it. In addition, the module can record changes in the input discrete with an associated time tag via a built-in FIFO. Output discretes are open collector, capable of handling up to 32V with a maximum sink current of 100 mA each.

These extensometers are designed for testing a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, composites and ceramics. All will work in both tension and compression. The dual flexure design makes them very rugged and insensitive to vibrations, which permits higher frequency operation.They come standard with Epsilon’s quick attach kit, making it possible to mount the extensometer on the test specimen quickly and easily with one hand. The quick attach kit can be removed, allowing mounting of the extensometer with springs or rubber bands.The Model 3542 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. Event Detectors
105/106 Series
The 105/106 Series Event Detectors are the most versatile Event Detectors in the product line. These Event Detectors monitor the electrical resistance of up to 128 simple continuity loops, each comprised of single or multiple specimens under test. Each test specimen is continuously monitored while a selectable DC sense current is passed through each channel test-loop; resistance changes exceeding the selected threshold are recorded as an event. Minimum Event Duration, Channel Current, and Threshold Voltage settings can all be independently configured. 105 and 106 Series instruments are electrically identical, with the difference simply that the 105 offers four, 32-channel board slots and the 106 offers only one. Thus the 128-105 is equivalent to four 32-106 Event Detectors.
