The QCBOX Model 5 is a non-conventional unit designed to fulfil actual and future needs of an electro-acoustical analyzer like the CLIO system. It is USB linked to a PC and can be configured, with dedicated software controls, to assist frequency response and impedance measurements or to perform DC measurements. Using it for frequency response measurements acts as 50W power amplifier to drive the speaker or network under test while routing one-of-four inputs to the analyzer as well the current sensing output. The four inputs are able to provide a phantom power supply both for Audiomatica or general purpose microphones (0-24 V range, software controlled). Impedance measurements can be done either switching the D.U.T.’s load across the analyzer’s input or using a dedicated output, ISENSE, thus allowing impedance measurements in constant voltage mode as well voice coil current distortion analysis. An internal ADC measures the DC current into the voice coil. Thanks to an internal software controlled voltage generator the speaker can be driven with a superimposed DC voltage (±20V), allowing for measurements of large signal parameters. Two ADC converters with a ±2.5 V and ±5 V are available at inputs 3 and 4 to measure the displacement with a laser sensor or any other DC signal. A dedicated digital input handles an external foot pedal switch (or TTL signal) to be connected and triggers QC operations. A 6 bit output – 5 bit input TTL digital port is available to interface the QCBOX and driving software with external hardware (like turntables for example).The QCBOX Model 5 finds use both in laboratory for R&D applications and in production lines setups.

Its state of art design is capable of providing highly accurate power measurements to meet the requirements of IEC 62301/EN50564 standards. The Smart Range function is one of the most important new features added to the 66205 power meter. Smart Range allows the power integration mode to perform active power measurements with the measurement range in auto mode. The GX3788 is a user configurable, FPGA-based, 3U PXI multi-function card which supports digital and analog test capabilities. The card employs the Altera Stratix III FPGA which features over 45,000 logic elements and 1.836 Kb of memory. The GX3788 is based on the GX3700 FPGA card and includes an integral daughter board which provides (8) differential input, 16-bit, 250 MS/s A to D converters and (8), 16-bit, 1 MS/s, D to A converters. The module's FPGA is pre-programmed, providing access to all digital and analog functions. Alternatively, users can program or modify the FPGA , allowing user to adapt the module to their own specific test needs. The design of the FPGA is done by using Altera's free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the configuration file can be loaded into the FPGA directly or via an on-board EEPROM.

A paper moisture meter measures the humidity of paper and paper products. Use of a paper moisture meter can prevent costly damages resulting from paper expansion or shrinking. A paper moisture meter determines paper moisture content based on either absolute humidity or relative humidity. Absolute humidity does not take into consideration temperature, while relative humidity relies on temperature and is expressed as a percentage of the total amount of moisture possible at the current temperature. Thus, many paper moisture meter devices feature automatic temperature compensation (ATC).For paper producers, paper manufacturers, paper mills and others in the pulp and paper industry, moisture and humidity control is essential, especially during the production process, as excessive moisture can lead to warming of the paper rolls. A paper moisture meter can be used to detect moisture streaks during the paper production process as well as to identify optimal drying times.Regardless of whether paper is stored in paper rolls in paper converting plants or stacked in sheets and paper bales in commercial printing warehouses, the porous surface of paper gradually takes in moisture relative to the humidity of the surrounding environment. This moisture can be problematic, as too much moisture can cause curling, buckling or the formation of waves in otherwise flat paper products. Moisture also can prevent inks, dyes, paints and coatings from covering and saturating paper properly during printing and processing.PCE Instruments (PCE) offers digital handheld moisture meter devices for measuring the moisture content of paper and paper products such as cardboard, paperboard, corrugated boxes, craft paper, wrapping paper, brown packaging paper, butcher paper, recycled paper, coated paper and more. Different paper moisture meter models utilize different paper moisture measuring techniques, performing moisture content tests of paper products via either destructive or nondestructive methods. Typically, a standard pinless paper moisture meter is nonpenetrating, thus allowing for the nondestructive measurement of paper water content.
