Automated test systems may be as simple as a laptop with a DAQ module or a stand-alone controller, but they typically require a mix of off-the-shelf and custom hardware. Populated with four 16-pole screw terminal blocks, the board addresses high voltage (HiPot) testing to 2100Vdc/1200Vac. Of particular interest to the harness testing market, the CB29H is also available as a transition board variant (CB29AH). The CB29H and CB29AH boards are high voltage versions of the CB29 with the high voltage traces running on inner layers to afford additional safety, and protection from contamination.

A SafeBloc is an accessory device, which can be used with other test equipment, as an adapter, to connect and test power cords and wiring harnesses for production testing purposes, prior to installation into equipment. Such testing would include Hipot and continuity testing of the power cord or wiring harness. The SafeBloc allows the bare wires of a power cord or wiring harness to be connected to the test equipment via clips inside the enclosure. Power can only flow through the device once it is closed and the test sequence is then started, ensuring that the test operator will not get shocked during the testing procedure.
