The UPC Verification Calibration standards are a unique set of symbols that assures an exact and reliable primary bar code standard exists for UPC codes based on ANSI X3.182/ISO 15416 methodology. These standards assures that manufactures of verification equipment, scanners, QC labs and end users now have an accurate basis for checking the measurement capabilities of their equipment. These standards are intended as a fundamental calibration tool for an QC program, providing a continuous scale from best to worse case characteristics of each parameter. With complete NIST traceable data supplied, it is ideally suited to those requiring traceability, such as ISO certification. Each symbol is individually calibrated to ANSI X3.182/ISO 15416 standards using a custom built microdensitometer. Analog Devices current mirrors are precision, high dynamic range, wide variable supply parts used for optical power monitoring, voltage biasing with current monitoring, and voltage-to-current conversion. Our current mirrors can monitor current down to as little as 3 nA and as much as 3 mA, with a linearity of 1% or better. The current dynamic range is 120 dB or 6 decades of current range, while the overcurrent protection feature in our devices forces the input pin to ground to avoid part damage. Over temperature (–40°C to +85°C) and process, the dynamic range only suffers 10 dB at the lower end of the range.

Probe has a mica window that has a thickness of 1.8 to 2.0 mg/cm2. This allows detection of alpha radiation as low as 3.0 MeV when in close proximity to the window. Beta radiation in excess of 35 keV and X-ray or gamma radiation greater than 6 keV can also be deteched. The detector is provided with a BNC connector.
