ODL
The Peregrine Optical Delay Line (ODL) provides an exceptional combination of precision, speed, and optical stability at a low price. It is ideally suited for pump-probe experiments and autocorrelation measurements (both interferometric and intensity methods). Advanced voice coil technology allows the ODL to be positioned anywhere in its travel range to within 150 nm. That’s 1 fs for a double-pass configuration. The response time is as short as 1 ms. Our 1-cm-travel ODL is interferometrically stable (measured using a 650 nm laser). No backlash, no hysteresis and no drive trains to wear out as with stepper motors. It’s convenient–the ODL can be positioned using digital commands, an analog voltage or a combination of the two. Two 16-bit on-board analog-to-digital converters simplify data collection. The BitBox is BitFlow''s new solution for high density I/O applications. Many machine makers require a large number of computer managed I/O signals for continuous control of the system state. This means controlling devices such strobes, solenoids, actuators, indicators etc. as well as gathering inputs from photo-detectors, switches, encoders and triggers. In general, BitFlow frame grabbers come with a fairly large number of inputs and outputs, but for some system this is simply not enough. The Oil Tan Delta (OTD) is a laboratory instrument, which measures the Tan Delta, Resistivity and Relative Permittivity of insulating liquids. These tests give a wider picture of the overall quality of the insulating oil, and will indicate if there is any contamination. Megger has developed features of the OTD to ensure that productivity levels within laboratories are maximised. The microprocessor controlled inductive heater means that there is uniformity of temperature throughout the cell, in compliance with IEC 60247, and for cooling a fan effectively speeds up the cell cooling time. The instrument has a temperature measuring range of 10 to 110 C, with an accuracy of 1 C. It can be set to preheat before testing takes place. The automated oil drain facility negates the need to move the oil vessel. User safety is paramount and with this in mind, Megger have designed independent and dual redundant high voltage cut-off circuitry. If for any reason the user needs to abort the test, this can be done so by pressing any key, immediately terminating the test and removing the high voltage. The design of the cell components maximise oil fill rate but minimise turbulence in oil flow and eliminate trapping of air. With only 32 cell components, it is easy to assemble and disassemble.
