Ducommun's products include very broad ferrite device selections to cover 100 MHz to 110 GHz operation frequency range. These devices include narrow band drop-in (FID and FCD), connectorized (FIC and FCC), junction (FIW and FCW) isolators and circulators and iso-adapters (FII and FCI). The broad bandwidth versions are offered as full band junction isolators and circulators (FIF and FCF) and Faraday isolators (FFF). These devices feature low insertion loss, high isolation and wide operating temperature range. Low cost and volume production versions of these ferrite devices are available per customers’ request.

Schottky diodes are majority carrier diodes formed by plating a layer of metal on a layer of doped semiconductor, which forms a rectifying junction. The type of metal and the type of dopant in the semiconductor determines the diode’s barrier height, which is a measure of the amount of energy required to force the diode into forward conduction. MACOM produces Si Schottky diodes as well as GaAs Schottky diodes for use as signal detectors or in frequency mixers.

A comprehensive set of analyses for junction diode or Schottky barriers begins with C-V data gathering that adjusts the voltage step to the slope of the C-V characteristics. This assures an optimum set of C-Vdata whether the voltage range is small or large. Doping profile and resistivity profile are both available at the touch of a key. Plots of 1/C2 - V or Log(C) - Log (V+ phi) show doping uniformity and doping slope factor. Exclusive recalculation options allow adjustment of stray capacitance and area to facilitate calibration using a standard reference wafer of known doping or resistivity.
