The PDExpert is PMDT's third level of Partial Discharge (PD) Expert Diagnostic and Location System. It is a powerful, portable, multi-channel system of impeccable design used to analyze and pinpoint PD signals coming from a power asset within centimeters while the power system is energized. The system consists of UHF, AE, HFCT and ultrasonic sensors, one advanced UHF/PD signal processing unit, one oscilloscope, filters and other accessories.The system employs ultra-high speed data acquisition and advanced digital signal processing technologies, compares the UHF, AE and HFCT signals of different frequency ranges to determine if it is PD or noise, and locates the source in power assets accurately by utilizing Acoustic-Electromagnetic Combination Location Technique, time Difference of Signals' Arrivals (TDOA), and 3D Positioning Technology.

OWL fiber optic visual fault locators (VFL) are specially designed to couple a maximum of optical energy into multimode and singlemode optical fibers by using a bright red fiber optic laser. Breaks, microbends, and other anomalies in optical fibers and connectors cause the intense bright red laser light to escape, thus revealing the presence of a fault. In addition to visual fault location, OWL VFLs can be used as a visual optical fiber identifier. The LBS Tester tests that the Location Server (System Under Test) is correctly executing the positioning procedures over the control plane and/or user plane of that network. To test normal signaling, or failure scenarios, over the LTE User Plane as the number of SETs (SUPL Enabled Terminals) simulated by the LBS Tester increases, the Location Server must execute LPP (Location Positioning Protocol) procedures over SUPL (Secure User Plane Protocol) with success, or without, respectively.
