The E5007A provides the impedance analysis (ZA) firmware for the E5061B LF-RF network analyzer. This option enables the analyzer to measure impedance parameters of electronic components such as capacitors, inductors, and resonators. The combination of NA and ZA capabilities further enhances the analyzer’s versatility as a general R&D tool. Basic ZA functionalities including fixture compensation and equivalent circuit analysis are supported by the firmware. The DC biased impedance measurement is possible with the built-in DC bias source provided by the E5061B-3L3/3L4/3L51.

Voice, data, and video traffic is exploding as smartphones, IP TV, video streaming, and "cloud" based services takeoff. A majority of the backbone transport for these applications continues to be SONET and SDH optical transmission networks. A dominant protocol for IP transport is PoS (Packet over SONET) and another is ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode). Both schemes are packet based, with ATM using fixed size packets of 53 bytes called "cells", and PoS using variable packet sizes closely matching to Ethernet frames.

The Keysight 85059V is a 1.0 mm verification kit designed for vector network analyzer systems operating over the frequency range of DC to 120 GHz. This includes a set of standards with known characteristics, traceable to primary standards in the Keysight Technologies calibration lab. This verification kit is used to verify the measurement calibration and also to verify that the PNA/PNA-X based millimeter-wave system is operating within its specifications. The 85059V with 85059B 1 mm calibration kit are replacements for the 85059A 1 mm calibration/verification kit.
