Columbia's SI-701 Series of Inclinometers are electronic tilt sensors based on Force Balance Accelerometer technology. They produce high level low impedance output proportional to the sine of the tilt angle. Model SI-701B is a low cost general purpose sensor that can be up-graded with the addition of the Columbia "HP" torquer system (SI-701BI) for greater accuracy and ruggedness. A bi-axial version of both units (SI-702B) is also available. The Model SI-701BI is designed with an output circuit made for 4-20mA data transmission systems for industrial applications. The model SI-701FND is a fluid dampened premium performance inclinometer designed to produce accurate tilt data in extreme shock and vibration environments. The latest addition in the line is Model SI-701WPBI, a waterproof (to 150 feet) inclinometer which operates from a +15 volt supply with 4-20mA output. A single power supply powers both the sensor and the 4-20mA line driver.

The 60-983 is an LXI compatible Wired Trigger Bus Terminator (WTB) designed to be attached to the end of a WTB cable. The LXI WTB uses a transmission line cable to connect LXI devices together that support the WTB capability of the LXI standard. Like all transmissions it needs to be correctly terminated to avoid reflections that could change the signal amplitude along the cable and generate timing jitter or trigger errors. The 60-983 is a simple terminator that can be placed at each end of the WTB chain to correctly terminate the transmission line with minimal reflections.

Order analysis is one of the most convenient and efficient methods for diagnostics and balancing of rotating mechanisms and transmission gears. With an RPM sensor and a vibration sensor, it is possible to study the time characteristics of gear vibration signals. It is a well-known fact that a signal from a vibration sensor is affected by signals from other sources. To tune out from the disturbing signals, the synchronous signal accumulation method is used. For each shaft rotation, the RPM sensor provides a rotation mark. This signal serves as a triggering strobe for the vibration sensor signal sweeping. The obtained signal sweeps are combined. All the sources of the signals related to the shaft frequency (frequency of rotation) are accumulated and increased in the accumulator linearly proportionally to the N number of rotations. All other signals that are not correlated with the shaft frequency are accumulated proportionally to N1/2 and in case of a greater number of averagings, the useful signal exceeds the interference level.

SENresearch 4.0 uses fast FTIR ellipsometry for the NIR up to 2,500 nm or 3,500 nm, respectively. It provides broadest spectral range with best S/N ratio and highest, selectable spectral resolution. Maury manual tuners are based on precision slide screw technology that utilizes broadband slab line transmission structure and passive probes to create impedances for devices. The probes are designed to be very close to onequarter wavelength in the linear dimension at the mid-band of each range. Since each tuner has two probes, this results in improved matching characteristics for each unit. Another key feature of this series of tuners is the inclusion of a LCD position readout of the carriage position on those units operating below 18 GHz. Higher frequency tuners utilize a micrometer carriage drive. The positional repeatability and high matching range of these tuners make them ideally suited for use as a variable impedance source in applications like device characterization. Such measurements depend upon the ability of the tuner to establish impedances out near the edge of the Smith chart and to reproduce the electrical characteristics as a function of mechanical position. The tuners in this series are also easy to use due to the nearly independent electrical results of the mechanical motions. The depth of penetration of the probe into the transmission line determines the magnitude of the reflection, while the position of the probe along the line determines the phase.
