Pyroelectric and Thermal Testing
The optional Chamber Task measures the Pulse Polarization response and Small Signal Capacitance of a Pyroelectric material that is being heated and/or cooled within a thermal chamber, on a hot chuck or in a furnace. From these measurements the Spontaneous Polarization Pr(q) and the Dielectric Constant er(q) are computed. These are then combined to determine the Electrical Displacement D(q) as a function of the temperature q.

Hipot Tests
The hipot test (high potential test) or dielectric withstand test, is used to determine the insulation and dielectric strength. It is carried out on modules, devices and systems of protection class I + II. In this test, the insulation of the test object is subjected to greater stress by the high voltage than in normal operation. DAC-5016 is an automatic test system of insulation oils according to JIS C-2101.The system automatically enables changing over samples (liquid cells) up to max 8 pieces and testing the dielectric loss tangents and the volume resistivities.In automatic mode, the dielectric loss tangents and the volume resistivities are automatically measured, and then the results are printed out with the built-in printer.
