Traditional commissioning is a daunting task. Since formal system operation doesn’t begin until the system is commissioned, the commissioning team experiences intense pressure to complete the commissioning process quickly. Commissioning can involve high expense and requires staffs from different departmental disciplines to work together. For these reasons data center commissioning has almost uniquely been associated with large data centers (over 20,000 ft2 or 1,858 m2). In the recent past, many data center managers chose to roll the dice and perform little or no commissioning, relying only on start-up data to press ahead with launching the new data center. Given the reality of 24x7 operations, however, the alternative of exposure to major system failures and accompanying downtime is no longer an economically viable option. Commissioning has now become a business necessity. Global shutter sensors have a fast and high-resolution capture of the entire field of view. Each pixel on a global shutter sensor completes its exposure simultaneously. This feature allows them to freeze motion in captured images. Each pixel will not only have the same integration time, but they will start their integration at the same time across the entire sensor. This exposure and detection scenario makes this type of sensor easier to synchronize with a flash or other external event.

This software analyzes the 1/1 and 1/3 octave bands for 2 - 32 channels (2 - 64 channels when two units are connected ) in real-time from 0.5 to 20 kHz. The filter is compatible with the IEC, JIS, and ANSI standards. The equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level (Laeq) and the single-shot sound exposure level (Lae) are calculated simultaneously by setting measurement time. Variations in level (time series) for each band can be saved for up to 2,000 points.

Pulsed X-ray technology

Golden Engineering X-ray generators are based on Pulsed X-ray technology. Pulsed X-rays generate a high intensity X-ray burst (pulse) in a very short period of time (10 to 50 nanoseconds depending on the model). The output dose of each pulse is 3-6 mR measured 12 inches from the front of the X-ray generator. The operator varies the overall dose of each exposure by changing the pulse setting. The pulse rate varies from 10 pulses per second to 25 pulses per second depending on the model. The generators can fire up to 200 pulses before a four-minute rest period.
