Both of them have a large (5,7 in) colored touch screen display. Because of that, test results are visible in dark places as well as in bright sunlight.Powerful internal Li-Ion battery of the instruments can last up to 8 hours of testing without recharging.CAT Handheld series records:main contacts operating times,contact synchronization,sequence time,a resistance of pre-insertion resistors,open and close coil currents,main contacts bounce time,auxiliary contact time,DC Voltage.Multiple operations, such as Open-Close and Open-Close-Open, can be initiated by using a predefined delay time or by triggering signal from current clamps connected to circuit breaker coil.CAT-H is capable of performing a coil control, while this feature is optional at CAT-P instrument. The CAT Standard series circuit breaker analyzers & timers are stand-alone or a PC-controlled digital instruments for circuit breakers condition assessments. The timing channels record closing and opening of the arcing, resistor, and auxiliary contacts. CAT Standard series records graphs of both, trip and close coil currents and displacements of the HV and MV circuit breaker moving parts. The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of the pre-insertion resistors (if present in the circuit breaker). Test results can be downloaded to a USB memory stick or saved to internal memory. The CAT Standard series internal memory can store up to 500 test results (numerical and graphical data). Test results can also be printed on the 80 mm (3.15 inch) thermal printer (optional accessory) in tabular and graphical form. In recent years, we have been developing a sophisticated IV curve tracer for PV modules including a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) function. The IV curve tracer is designed for operation with any market-available steady-state solar simulator. Through our web-based software design, the operator can supervise the test results from every computer in a company network. The software contains functions such as an irradiation sum counter that helps to check requirements stated in a stabilization test like they are defined in IEC 61215 (MQT 19). We have also included a correction function to correct the traced IV curves to standard test conditions (STC) when the user enters the required temperature coefficients. One of the most important features is the multi-IV curve tracing function, which enables the user to display more than 150 IV curves in one graph. This eases the analysis of the weakest cells in hot-spot tests, which are required in IEC 61730 (MST 22) and IEC 61215 (MQT 09).
