The primary application area of CANape is in optimizing parameterization (calibration) of electronic control units. During a measurement process, you can simultaneously calibrate parameters and record signals. The communication between CANape and the ECUs takes place via protocols such as XCP or via microcontroller-specific interfaces with the VX1000 measurement and calibration hardware. The ProDAQ 3430 is a 4-channel, sigma-delta ADC function card. Every channel contains front-end conditioning circuitry followed by a sigma-delta ADC. The bit stream from every ADC is then directed to finite impulse response (FIR) decimation filters. Users can activate up to 10 stages of the FIR filters.
