True Airspeeds
-
These true speed indicators are differential pressure indicators that measure the difference between static and total pressure produced by ram air from the pitot. The indicated airspeed can be corrected for changes in altitude by turning the knob to align the outside air temperature with the altitude. The moveable airspeed scale will then show the actual, or true, airspeed.

Multifunction Engine Gauge
1U417-series
-
The three essential engine parameters are packaged in a 3” instrument. The 1U417 was derived from the Garwin 22-804 and is a direct replacement. As evidenced by its predecessor, the three most essential engine parameters have traditionally been the most requested by our customers.

Standard Attitude Gyroscopes
5000B-series
-
The 5000B is an air-driven gyro that has a pictorial horizon mask and fixed airplane. The mask moves to indicate climb, dive, and bank. Bank and pitch attitudes are displayed so that the pilot’s sensing of the gyro indication is the same as the interpretation of the relation between the wings of the aircraft and the natural horizon during visual flight.

4000B ARINC-style Directional Gyroscopes
-
This instrument was developed for those pilots that prefer the distinct, professional look of an ARINC-styled cockpit. It is identical to the standard 4000B model differing mainly in aesthetics. Besides its distinct bezel and airplane, the display graphics and colors differentiate it from the standard model. A heading reminder bug is available as an option.

ARINC-style Attitude Gyroscopes
1U367-series
-
The 1U367 has a pictorial horizon mask and a fixed airplane. The mask moves to indicate climb, dive, and bank. Bank and pitch attitudes are diaplayed so that the pilot's sensing of the gyro's horizon indication is the same as the interpretation of the relationship between the wings of the aircraft and the natural horizon during visual flight.

AC Calibration Standard
1U647-001
-
The 1U647-001 is a low cost calibration standard used to determine if a 1U632-100 or a 1U663-100 DMU requires factory calibration. Its portability makes it ideal for field-testing. The standard generates signals that simulate the aircraft’s resolvers, rotary variable transformers (RVTs), and linear variable displacement transformers (LVDTs). The unit also generates a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal, and routes the output of an ARINC 429 source to the different DMU input channels. The calibration standard connects directly to the DMU and replaces the output signals of an active extender card. Discrete switch settings simplify testing. The unit is housed in a rugged aluminum case.

Standard Directional Gyroscopes
4000B-series
-
The 4000B is our standard air-driven directional gyro. As the aircraft turns left or right, gears on the sensing unit and dial shaft translate this rotation into rotation of the instrument’s vertical dial. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation. The gyro is controlled by a heading selector knob located on the lower left of the instrument. Pressing and turning the knob first disengages the dial shaft and then resets the dial to a new heading, which results in a new course indication. Releasing the selector knob re-engages the dial shaft. The on-course position of the pointer is always at the top of the azimuth circle (0° on the dial with the aircraft headed north).

Restrained Airspeeds
-
These airspeed indicators have restrained movements. These instruments are actuated by ram air and ambient atmospheric pressure obtained from the aircraft pitot and static pressure systems. A moveable pointer and a fixed dial indicate airspeed with the zero index at the 12 o’clock position. Temperature compensation is internal and there is no external zero adjustment. Pointer damping is internally adjustable.

Breakout Box and Data Logger
1U643-001
-
The 1U634 Breakout Box and Data Logger was developed for the Cessna Excel to serve as the main diagnostics tool for the aircraft?? electronic modules. It allows access to the module pins, and its internal microcomputer digitizes the signals and transmits them to a PC-compatible computer. Advanced software in the computer displays pin voltages either in numerical or graphical form. Data files can be recorded on disk, and played back at a later time for detailed analysis.

Multifunction Engine Gauge
1U378-series
-
This 3” instrument combines the three essential engine parameters in a compact package. Rugged D’Arsonval meter movements with two jewels are used to indicate cylinder head and oil temperatures. A brass bourdon tube mechanism precisely indicates oil pressure. A selection of fittings is available to simplify installation.

Autopilot Directional Gyroscopes
4000C/D-series
-
The 4000C/D is an air-driven directional gyro with A.C. autopilot pickoffs. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation. Two knobs control the gyro. The left knob is used to cage the unit, and the right knob is used to select the instrument’s heading. To change course, the right selector knob is pressed and turned to disengage the dial shaft and set the pointer to a new heading. Releasing the selector knob re-engages the pointer with the dial shaft. As the aircraft turns onto a new course, the pointer returns to its original position. The on-course position of the pointer is always at the top of the azimuth circle (0° on the dial with the aircraft headed north).

Cageable Attitude Gyroscopes
5000M-series
-
The 5000M is an air-driven gyro that has a pictorial horizon mask and fixed airplane. The mask moves to indicate climb, dive, and bank. Bank and pitch attitudes are displayed so that the pilot’s sensing of the gyro indication is the same as the interpretation of the relation between the wings of the aircraft and the natural horizon during visual flight.

5000B-series Attitude Gyroscopes With Warning Flag
-
This gyro is a variation of our popular 5000B air-driven attitude gyro. It includes a warning flag that drops into view upon the loss of vacuum. This can be a life saving feature during an emergency in a busy cockpit. The horizon mask moves to indicate climb, dive, and bank attitudes, which are portrayed against a fixed airplane. The fluid movements and intuitive presentation provide the pilot with a realistic sense of the aircraft’s attitude in relation to the natural horizon.
