Higher-voltage and Higher-power Supplies require more complex design solutions. The heat to be dissipated and installation infrastructure, plus choice of insulation system in a HVPS are driven by the output voltage and output power which ultimately dictates packaging. Typical insulation systems are based on air, dielectric oil, epoxy, RTV Silicone and even Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6). The method of cooling is a factor as well, the choices often coming down to air, water or oil, depending on the platform design requirements. A connector test system which provides expansion of up to 160 Kelvin pair connections. The system incorporates high voltage AC and DC power supplies with a maximum output of +/- 2100 Volts peak for Hi Pot, Insulation resistance measurement. LCR bridge control is provided with 4 terminal multiplexing in order to add precision capacitance, inductance and resistance measurement capability. An integral H.V. capacitor bias option permits capacitance measurement to be made at up to 2.1kV.

62000B series
Chroma's new 62000B series of Modular DC Power Supplies offer many unique features for Burn-in and plating/electrolysis applications. The features include a N+1 redundancy, high power densities, hot-swappable maintenance, remote ON/OFF and programmable control via the CAN bus.
