The SC5503B and SC5502A are designed to meet demanding low phase noise applications. This is accomplished by employing a multiple phase-locked loop architecture as well as a YIG oscillator as the heart of its synthesizer. Frequency accuracy is provided by an onboard 10 MHz temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) which can be phase locked to an external reference source if required. Coaxial DC Blocks allow the transmission of RF signals while blocking DC signals, usually using a blocking capacitor. We feature SMA DC blocks, 2.92mm DC Blocks, 1.85mm DC Blocks, BNC DC Blocks, TNC DC Blocks, and Type N DC Blocks. DC blocks can block the inner conductor, outer conductor, or both; hence there are "inner" dc blocks, "outer" dc blocks, and "inner/outer" dc blocks. The SC5510A and SC5511A are VCO-based, synthesized signal sources with very low phase noise and an amplitude control of 0.01 dB throughout its -30 dBm to +15 dBm output power range. By utilizing a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -70 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution. These 20 GHz signal sources include an additional, independent RF2 channel with a tunable frequency range from 100 MHz to 3 GHz and a tuning resolution of 25 MHz.
