Directional Couplers
-
Pasternack directional coupler category is passive devices that couple part of the transmission power in a transmission line. Our directional coupler series provides the bandwidth, high directivity and higher power that engineers need for their most demanding application designs. RF directional couplers often use two transmission lines set close together so that energy passing through one is coupled to the other. Many Pasternack directional coupler components are RoHS and REACH compliant. RF directional couplers are available with 4.1/9.5, 4.3-10, 7/16 DIN, Type N or SMA connectors. Our directional coupler line has 6dB, 10dB, 15dB, 16dB, 20dB, 30dB or 35dB coupling values. Power ratings of our typical and high power directional couplers range from 25 Watts to 70 Watts. Directional coupler frequency range of this product design is from 1 GHz to 8 GHz. As with our other over 40,000 RF, microwave and millimeter wave components from Pasternack, this directional coupler series is in-stock. Not only are these couplers in directional design in stock, they also will ship the same day as they are purchased.

Rotman Lens Designer
-
Rotman Lens Designer (RLD) is a software tool for the design, synthesis, and analysis of Rotman Lenses and their variants. It is based on Geometrical Optics combined with the classical Rotman Lens design equations. It is intended for rapid development and analysis of Rotman Lenses given several physical and electrical input parameters. RLD generates the proper lens contours, transmission line geometry, absorptive port (dummy port) geometry, provides an approximate analysis of performance, and generates geometry files for import into Remcom's XFdtd® for further analysis and fabrication.

Air Core Shunt Reactors
-
Shunt Reactors act as absorbers of reactive power to increase energy efficiency of the power system. Shunt Reactors are inductors that are used in order to compensate capacitive reactive power generated by long and lightly loaded transmission lines as well as underground cables, thus allowing the flow of more active power through the system and avoiding over voltages. The shunt reactors provide inductive compensation.

Manual Tuners / Impedance Tuners
-
Maury manual tuners are based on precision slide screw technology that utilizes broadband slab line transmission structure and passive probes to create impedances for devices. The probes are designed to be very close to onequarter wavelength in the linear dimension at the mid-band of each range. Since each tuner has two probes, this results in improved matching characteristics for each unit. Another key feature of this series of tuners is the inclusion of a LCD position readout of the carriage position on those units operating below 18 GHz. Higher frequency tuners utilize a micrometer carriage drive. The positional repeatability and high matching range of these tuners make them ideally suited for use as a variable impedance source in applications like device characterization. Such measurements depend upon the ability of the tuner to establish impedances out near the edge of the Smith chart and to reproduce the electrical characteristics as a function of mechanical position. The tuners in this series are also easy to use due to the nearly independent electrical results of the mechanical motions. The depth of penetration of the probe into the transmission line determines the magnitude of the reflection, while the position of the probe along the line determines the phase. While there is some interaction, the effects are almost independent of each other. https://www.maurymw.com/images/mw-rf/mst982e35.jpg

Dual (Bi) Directional Couplers
-
Pasternack dual directional coupler (also known as bi-directional coupler) series are passive devices that couple part of the transmission power in a transmission line. Our dual directional coupler components provide the bandwidth, high directivity and higher power that designers need for their most demanding applications. RF dual directional couplers often use two transmission lines set close together so that energy passing through one is coupled to the other. Many Pasternack bi-directional coupler items are RoHS and REACH compliant. Couplers that are dual directional from Pasternack are available with SC, SMA and Type N connectors. This dual/bi directional series is offered in 10dB, 20dB, 30dB, 40dB and 50dB coupling values. Power ratings for our dual directional couplers range from 10 Watts to 10 Watts. Frequency ratings for our bi-directional couplers range from 1 GHz to 8 GHz. Like the other over 40,000 RF, microwave and millimeter wave components from Pasternack, our dual (bi) directional coupler series is in-stock. Not only our these couplers in stock, they also will ship the same-day as they are purchased.

An electromechanical switch made primarily for routing microwave signals/RF energy from one point to another within a transmission line. Coaxial switches can be used in either an industrial environment or in the lab. These electromechanical devices are also used for RF testing equipment and in large RF communication systems and networks. Coaxial switches vary by port configuration, switch type, maximum frequency, isolation, insertion loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and package type. Coaxial switches are able to route RF signals over a broad bandwidth from DC to 40 GHz, and are now offered with the Low PIM option which will improve Passive Intermodulation levels from -110dBc (standard switch) to -160dBc.

Lange Couplers
-
The Lange Coupler is a four-port interdigitated structure originally developed by Dr. Julius Lange in 1969. They are a common RF/microwave circuit. The coupling is derived from closely spaced transmission lines, such as microstrip lines. With the introduction of Ion Beam Milling, SemiGen’s ability to consistently produce Lange Couplers with lines and spaces as small as 10 microns and controlled to tolerances of +/- 1 micron is a direct result of our anisotropic ion beam etching process.

Impedance Measurement
CITS880s
-
Finer geometries and thinner copper can present a challenge for fabricators measuring impedance on leading edge PCBs. The CITS880s answers that challenge with the introduction of Launch Point Extrapolation (LPE). LPE extrapolates the TDR response back to a point close to the start of the transmission line effectively allowing to users more accurately to measure the instantaneous or incident impedance of the line.
