Shunt Voltage References
Analog Devices offers a broad line of shunt precision voltage references that combine excellent accuracy and temperature stability with low noise and small packages. These devices operate in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a Zener diode. The bias current must be set higher than the sum of the maximum quiescent current of the voltage reference and the maximum expected load current. Since shunt voltage references are typically biased with a resistor, the voltage reference can operate on a wide range of input voltages.

Retractable Sources
Veeco’s retractable sources address fundamental limitations of MBE, including source capacity, source removal for maintenance and system uptime. The retractable source allows an individual source to be withdrawn and isolated from the growth environment with the source gate valve and then removed without venting the entire chamber. The source can then be easily refilled with the same material or a new material before being remounted at standard positions to the growth module, allowing growths to continue with minimal interruption. This saves the user from re-qualifying new source to substrate distances and multiple weeks of downtime by avoiding the process of an entire system vent and bake. In addition, the differential pumping option provides a marked improvement in base pressure around the source to reduce contamination of the source material and provide longer lifetimes for sources in corrosive and oxidizing environments. Ar Gas Cluster Ion Source

The Kratos Ar Gas Cluster Ion Source (GCIS) is optimised for depth profiling organic materials in Arn+ cluster mode and inorganic materials in Ar+ monomer mode, dependent on the operating parameters defined by the user and the type of material to be profiled. In Arn+ ion cluster mode the ions can be accelerated up to a maximum of 20 keV. This enables the successful sputter depth profiling of the widest range of polymer materials to be undertaken. However, Arn+ cluster depth profiling has been shown to give very low sputter yields for inorganic materials. In order to retain the capability of generating depth profiles from this class of materials this ion source can also be operated in the more conventional Ar monomer (Ar+) mode.

Tunable System Sources
The Keysight N7711A and N7714A tunable lasers are single-port and four-port sources, available with C-band or L-band wavelength coverage. All models can reach any wavelength point within their specified wavelength in the C- and L-band range. The narrow linewidth and offset grid fine-tuning capability make them ideal sources for realistic loading of the latest transmission systems. In system loading applications, it may be preferable to grid-tune the lasers like system transmitters, simply by changing the channel index. The channel grid is adjustable to standard ITU-T grid spacing like 50 GHz, and to arbitrary grids. The Keysight N7711A and N7714A tunable lasers are available in a compact format with half-rack width and one rack-unit height. This format makes them the right choice for high channel-count system load applications.
