Magnetic Level Gauge Switches
ABB's magnetic level gauge switches for point level alarm and/or control can mount to a KM26 magnetic level gauge or an LS Series cage level switch.These switches are completely isolated from the process fluid as they are magnetically activated by a magnet equipped float (KM26) or attraction sleeve (LS Series). The Amcorder uses the same sensor technology as the original Ampstik. The True RMS inductive sensor does not use magnetic materials and has no moving parts. The opening of the sensor is electronically closed and external currents are electronically rejected. The accuracy, external current reject, and range of currents measured by the patented amp sensor substantially exceed the performance of the best clamp-on sensors. The key feature of the unit is the ability to leave it deployed on the line to record average current readings every 15 minutes for 30+ days. Drum Core Inductors
Drum core inductors are so named as the conductor (round magnet wire) is wound directly onto the ferrite core which is shaped like a drum or spool. The wire is then connected to the core, a plastic base or metal lead frame to form the surface mount termination. Drum core inductors come in unshielded (high saturation current but potentially more EMI) and shielded constructions (lower saturation current but closed magnetic path for lower EMI). The shielded constructions use either a second ferrite core or a magnetic resin epoxy to create the magnetic shield.

Near Field Probes 30 MHz up to 3 GHz
RF2 set
The RF2 near field probe set consists of 4 passive near field probes for measurements in the development phase of the magnetic field in the range from 30 MHz to 3 GHz on electronic assemblies. The probe heads of the RF2 set allow the step by step localization of interference sources of the RF magnetic field on assemblies. From greater distances the electromagnetic interference can be detected by RF-R 400-1 and RF-R 50-1 probes. The RF-B 3-2 and RF-U 5-2 probes with their higher resolution can more precisely detect the interference sources. Field orientation and field distribution on an electronic assembly can be detected through a trained special use of the near field probe. The near field probes are small and handy. They have a sheath current attenuation and are electrically shielded. They can be connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. They do not have an internal terminating resistance.
