All data lines are high power TTL outputs or floating inputs with pullup resistors for sensing CMOS signals or switch contacts. The Serial analyzer sink decodes analog data on a serial bus to serial data. It can be used to monitor and analyze RS232, RS485, MIDI, DMX or other compatible serial buses. The serial analyzer can monitor up to eight sources. When these sources are in sync (all sources are of one (combined) instrument), all captured data will be displayed in chronological order.

All ports are independently addressable and an on-board crystal-controlled oscillator permits precise selection of baud rates up to 115,200 baud or, by changing a jumper, up to 460,800 baud.
