The internal zero air source module contains a software driven electronic inlet valve manifold allowing the calibrator to automatically switch between internal and external zero air sources depending on the application needs.

The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. The 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. The module is ideal for performing bulk testing of any device that relies on a serial data communications port to load software or control the device operation. It can also be used for a variety of other applications where ever a 2-pole low power MUX is required.

The Ф4 Ultra-high Vacuum Scanning Kelvin Probe system gives the user full access to work function measurements under vacuum with the ability to alter the temperature from 77 K to 860 K. The Kelvin Probe measurement has resolution of 1 - 3 meV for a 2 mm tip on a conducting sample. The sample is mounted on a plate that is located on a motorized (x, y, z) translator attached to a stainless-steel vacuum chamber. Phi 4 also comes with a photoemission spectroscopy system with a tuneable source (3.4 - 7.0 eV). The deep ultra-violet (DUV) light spot measures approximately 3 x 4 mm. Absolute work function measurements can be obtained with this system in the range of 4.0 - 6.5 eV with an accuracy of 0.05 - 0.1 eV.

These can also be used as irradiance calibration sources due to their high stability. The standard AvaLight-DH-S mixes the halogen light with the Deuterium light, thus producing a wide spectral range light source. The output spectrum of Deuterium light sources exhibits several peaks, with a prominent peak at 656 nm. The AvaLight-DH-S-BAL incorporates a dichroic beam splitter installed to minimize these peaks, providing a smooth spectrum from 200-2500 nm.
