The Model PS1 under tank probe is designed to be used in conjunction with customer-supplied ¾” National Pipe Thread (NPT) PVC piping and the product has a ¾” (NPT) threaded end that accepts a standard coupling. Any number of pipe pieces can be combined via couplings to provide the required probe insertion length under a tank. The probe can be combined with any standard reference electrode with a ¼ x 20 threaded fitting, including the RE-5, RE-5C and RE-7 portable reference electrodes. Reference electrodes are sold separately. The sealed cable to be fed through a customer-supplied PVC pipe comprises #16 AWG wire with red colored PVC insulation and the wire length can be selected via the radio buttons in the field below.

There are both standard and a waterproof conductivity meter, as well as a conductivity meter available for flowing water or pure water (highly recommended for specific industries) as well as the ones with different conductivity measurement ranges. An important factor is that a conductivity meter normally measures electric conductivity in µS/cm, however it can also take measurements in mg/l (for direct reading of content in dissolved solid substances). The UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) by Allied Edison is a light weight (7.2 lbs), portable, non-variable source that converts a 12 Vdc Lithium Ion battery to output 110 vac sine wave at 60 hertz. It also has four 12Vdc output jacks, and 4 USB ports to power electronic equipment such as computers or used to supply cell phone chargers, etc. It has a strong built in flashlight. The UPS plugs into a standard 120 Vac, 60 hertz receptacle for charging and indicates percent battery capacity remaining on a digital meter located on the front panel. A gas chromatograph (GC) is an analytical instrument that measures the content of various components in a sample. The analysis performed by a gas chromatograph is called gas chromatography.Principle of gas chromatography: The sample solution injected into the instrument enters a gas stream which transports the sample into a separation tube known as the "column." (Helium or nitrogen is used as the so-called carrier gas.) The various components are separated inside the column. The detector measures the quantity of the components that exit the column. RNA oligonucleotides from cells and viruses can be amplified for detection using the methods of Reverse Transcription and Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). In a first step, a complementary strand of DNA (cDNA) is synthesized using a primer and reverse transcriptase. The cDNA is then amplified using standard PCR techniques. This can be accomplished by taking an aliquot from the reverse transcription reaction and adding a DNA-dependent DNA polymerase (e.g. Taq) and other reagents and then doing PCR. That method is commonly called "Two-step RT-PCR", or "Two-tube RT-PCR". Alternatively, all reagents, including both enzymes and gene-specific primers can be included in a single tube in order to do both reverse trancription and PCR without the need to open the tube between those reactions. That method is commonly called "One-Step RT-PCR" or "One-Tube RT-PCR". Both methods can include primers for a single target or for multiple targets (i.e. multiplex RT-PCR).
