Continuity tests alone are not sufficient to qualify SCSI cable assemblies. Proper testing of SCSI cables must include a test for correct connection of twisted pairs and shielding. Continuity tests check only that wires are making connections on both ends of a cable.Twisted pairs in the cable must be matched with the correct SCSI signal pairs - otherwise, it is possible to have a SCSI signal (signal and ground pair) placed on wires that are not in the same physical twisted pair (see diagram at right). This will cause crosstalk with resultant SCSI errors.

The EM-6873 Loop Sensor Antenna uses passive circuits to transform magnetic field components between 20 Hz – 100 kHz to an equivalent open circuit two-terminal voltage on the receiving instrument. Use of the conversion Factor Chart, supplied with each antenna, will yield the strength of the magnetic induction field referenced to a uniform field. The loop is electrostatically shielded and therefore is sensitive only to the magnetic component (B-field) of the electromagnetic fields.

The Positioner HD is a two-axis azimuth over elevation positioner, for precise angular positioning with full spherical coverage. Designed for antenna and RF device measurement, the positioner is built out of low-reflection materials, with additional RF shielding for minimal multipath and improved measurement accuracy.
