The probes have a 3.5mm female interface, a pitch of 800 or 1500 micron and they can be cable-mounted. They feature gold-plated contacts and can be used by hand, with or without a probe positioner. Compliant coaxial GSG (or GS) pogo pins allow for a broad range of probing angles. The RF PCB probe positioner can hold coaxial probes, has articulated joints and delivers multi-axis positioner control. This positioner also boasts a magnetic mounting plate with on-off positioner switch.

To be used for optical coherent detection such as DP-QPSK receivers, Optoplex’s ten-port 2x8 Coherent Mixer (aka QPSK mixer) combines the incoming signal with a local oscillator to generate eight light states in the complex-field space. The eight light output signals can then be coupled into four pairs of balanced detectors. The block diagram below shows the application of a 2x8 coherent mixer in a DP-QPSK receiver. Since the mixing process is data rate independent, the devices can be used for any data rate in applications such as 40Gb/s or 100Gb/s transmission systems.

The MOS-01 manual oscillator module is used as a quality, general-purpose sinewave oscillator and digital readout monitoring system in the MAC-01, -02, or -03 AC Power Sources/Frequency Converters. The unit has guaranteed operating range of 20 HZ to 20 KHZ which is covered in three one-decade scales. The LCD digital metering system is switch-selectable to readout either frequency, voltage or current. A toggle switch selects the input for the attached AC Power Source/Frequency Converter to originate from the manual oscillator itself or from an external laboratory or programmable oscillator source. With oscillator mode switch in Internal position, the BNC connector delivers the signal to drive additional slave units or for oscilloscope sync or monitoring. BNC input/output is completely isolated with 1500 VAC breakdown and excellent common mode rejection. The oscillator modules must be factory installed and calibrated.
