Preamplifiers
LNA Series
Low noise amplifier with 12.5 dB of gain covering the nominal frequency range 1 MHz to 3 GHz and can be used in the range from 200 kHz to 4 GHz. With its high gain and low noise figure, it will significantly increase the sensitivity of virtually all spectrum analyzers and other RF measuring instruments. All measuring instruments have a 'noise figure', which is a measure of how good the instrument is at measuring low level signals, the lower this figure, the better, although the lowest signal level will still be governed by the measurement bandwidth. A typical spectrum analyzer may have a noise figure of 20 dB or more, whereas a typical receiver may have a noise figure of 10 dB. The preamplifier has a noise figure of typically 4 dB, significantly enhancing the low level performance of such instruments, enabling signals that were previously masked by noise to be seen.

Sensitivity Testing
Response Dynamics Vibration Engineering, Inc.
Sensitivity testing involves making predictions of system response to environmental disturbance. The significance and importance of the system sensitivity estimates is very often overlooked. This gets companies in trouble and is one of the top reasons why we are called upon to provide timely solutions. Most teams are focused on getting their product to work and get it out the door. An engineering team will often not know how to quantify what to expect in the customer environment and how to test for those expected disturbances. We design hundreds of sensitivity tests and can explain the important concepts to consider in designing the tests and making the right measurements that allow for sound estimates of system response. This is an important expertise we use in our vibration, acoustic and magnetic field consulting services.

Preamplifier
2721
Pre-amplification is required to protect the output signal of pH and ORP electrodes from a wide variety of electromagnetic interferences common in industrial environments. Signet 2721 is used if remote pre-amplification is required (e.g. tank temperature >80oC) or connecting another manufacturer's electrode to the Signet 5700 or 8750 instrument. The Signet 2721 should be used with special order sensors built with cables (Signet models 277X-HT or 277X-1-HT).

Low Noise Pre-Amplifiers
Low Noise Pre-Amplifier and companion external low noise amplifier (LNA) are used to amplify low level microwave signals. The Pre-Amplifier contains an AC/DC power supply, internal low noise amplifier, and a bias tee to source a DC bias voltage on the RF input connector. To overcome cable loss between the test antenna and the Pre-Amplifier assembly, a remote low noise amplifier (LNA) is mounted directly onto the 10 GHz antenna. A bias tee inside the Pre-Amplifier chassis powers the remote LNA through the coax cable interconnecting the pre-amplifier and the 10 GHz test antenna.

Thermal Sensitivity Tester
NTE-2A
The NTE-2A Thermal Probe is a sophisticated, non-invasive device for the clinical evaluation of neuropathy and the assessment of short fiber neurological function. Individual thresholds are compared to normals to statistical normals. These results provide an accurate means of tracking chronic changes in small fiber nerve function. It can be used for pain studies and in any application were a variable, accurately-controlled temperature stimulus is required. The NTE-2A is often used in conjunction with the Vibratron II to assess peripheral neuropathies.

Low G Sensitive Oscillators
Precision Test Systems is increasingly becoming a world leader in ultra-low phase noise (ULN) crystal and rubidium oscillators. We manufacture the CFS10B crystal frequency standard and the RFS10E and RFS10F rubidium frequency standards. All these models can also be locked to the global satellite service operated by the USA (GPS), Russian (GLOSNASS) and Europe (Galileo). We also have a complete range of distribution amplifiers to compliment these frequency standards.

Charge Controller
The intelligence of an AC charging station or an AC charging infrastructure is largely determined by the charge controller used. A smart charge controller has the primary task of controlling and monitoring the charging process of an electrical vehicle. The features that characterise a smart charge controller include communication with a backend system and the associated authorisation of users, as well as the efficient distribution of load currents by means of dynamic load management to prevent an overload of the existing AC system.
