Right Angle Waveguide to Coax Adapters
Fairview Microwave right angle waveguide to coax adapters include millimeter wave frequency ranges with models in the K-band (18 to 26.5 GHz) up to the V-band (50 to 65 GHz). These right angle waveguide to coax adapters offer excellent VSWR as low as 1.29:1, while also providing insertion loss performance as low as 0.3 dB. Waveguide sizes available for these new 90 degree coaxial adapter models include WR-42, WR-28, WR-22, WR-19 and WR-15. These coax to waveguide adapters in a right angle design are ideal for numerous applications requiring a transition from coaxial cable to waveguide or vice versa, including SATCOM, wireless communications, industrial, test and measurement and defense systems. Fairview’s new waveguide to coax adapter products feature a right-angle configuration, those with 2.92mm connectors use a UG-style square waveguide flange, 2.4mm and 1.85mm connector versions use a UG-style circular waveguide flange. Both male and female connector options are available in each right angle waveguide to coax adapter frequency band.

The Teledyne LeCroy LabMaster 10 Zi oscilloscope utilizes precision 2.92mm input connectors to achieve up to 36GHz of input bandwidth. But some applications may require the use of lower-bandwidth probes for performance and cost reasons.The L2.92A-PLINK adapter converts the 2.92mm interface to a ProLink interface. This brings the benefits of a wider selection of probes to the LabMaster 10 Zi such as Dx10/Dx20/Dx00A-AT 4-6 GHz differential probes and DH Series 8 to 20 GHz differential probes using the ProLink oscilloscope probe connection. Full probe power and control is provided through a built-in LEMO interface.

BGA SMT Adapters
Giga-snaP™
Giga-snaP™ 0.75, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.27mm pitch BGA Surface Mount Feet Adapter line of products provide an inexpensive and reliable method for attaching BGA chips to target board. The product line consists of patented female sockets with machined pins epoxy over-molded into an assembly that matches a particular BGA pattern. The epoxy over-molded female BGA socket is soldered to a PCB using standard soldering methods. A corresponding male pin BGA adapter, to which the user attaches their BGA chip, is plugged into the female socket on the board thus interconnecting the chip and the system is ready to go. The SMT adapters have the same solder ball types as the chips they are emulating. These adapters have less than half of the insertion force of competitive adapters, shorter electrical path for highest speed, and can be solder reflowed numerous times.
