It is designed to simulate a lithium‑ion battery cell’s transient speed, output resistance, and 2‑quadrant operation (source/sink). Critical to many RF and wireless applications, the simulator’s fast transient response time allows it to rapidly respond to changes in load current with minimal voltage dip, which makes the PXIe‑4154 ideal for powering devices under test (DUTs) such as RF power amplifiers, cellular handsets, and a variety of other mobile devices. To model the behavior of a battery more accurately, you can use the onboard programmable output resistance to simulate a battery’s internal resistance. The Hiden ExQ quantitative gas analyser is a new multi-featured and compact mass spectrometer system providing continuous on-line analysis of dynamic gas streams at pressures from sub-atmospheric up to 30 bar, the fully integrated system now being configurable both for benchtop and for rack-mounting operation. Connection to the process is via a flexible heated inert capillary line with a sample consumption rate less than 10 mL/minute and a response time of less than 300 milliseconds at pressures near atmosphere. The comprehensive range of process interface options enables adaptation of the system to accommodate analysis of up to 16 individual process streams, and adaptors are available for direct connection of the system to most standard TGA/TA instruments. External process data, sample temperature or mass for example, can be imported for combined integration and presentation with the mass spectral data.

RINKO EC (ARO-EC)
Aquatic eddy covariance method is a powerful technique to measure benthic fluxes. The robust RINKO EC (model name: ARO-EC), as a new member of the RINKO series, is designed for aquatic eddy covariance measurements. The RINKO series is based on the optical (phosphorescence) principle which is now widely known as a remarkably fast response oxygen sensor with high accuracy. The response time of the RINKO EC oxygen sensing foil is less than 0.5 s (90%, from air to water at 25 °C). The foil life-time is more than 200 h, which enables at least 1 week of continuous measurements of dissolved oxygen. Moreover, the foil can be replaced easily by the user. Berg et al. (2016)*, after a detailed evaluation, concluded that RINKO EC is a reliable alternative for aquatic eddy covariance measurements of oxygen fluxes and its high data quality allows for new opportunities for eddy covariance flux studies, including long-term deployments in rivers, streams, and marine environments.

Digital Circuit Breaker Analyzer

The CT-3500 S2 is Vanguard’s second generation, stand-alone, digital, microprocessor-controlled, circuit-breaker timer. It measures the elapsed time from the instant a breaker coil is energized to the instant of opening or closing of a circuit-breaker’s dry contacts. In addition to timing a breaker’s contact response time, the CT-3500 S2 can also time relays or other switching functions that use an initiating trigger voltage (24-300 Volts DC or AC). The timer-triggering voltage starts three independent electronic timers. Each timer is individually stopped by its respective dry-contact closing or opening. The CT-3500 can fully analyze the timing of all circuit breaker operations (Open, Close, Open – Close, and Close – Open). Timing results are displayed in milli-seconds and cycles on the unit’s back-lit LCD screen and can be printed on the built-in 2.5-inch wide thermal printer.

DT-670 Series silicon diodes offer better accuracy over a wider temperature range than any previously marketed silicon diodes. Conforming to the Curve DT-670 standard voltage versus temperature response curve, sensors within the DT-670 series are interchangeable and, for many applications, do not require individual calibration. DT-670 sensors in the SD package are available in four tolerance bands—three for general cryogenic use across the 1.4 K to 500 K temperature range and one that offers superior accuracy for applications from 30 K to room temperature. DT-670 sensors also come in a seventh tolerance band, B and E, which are available only as bare die. For applications requiring greater accuracy, DT-670-SD diodes are available with calibration across the full 1.4 K to 500 K temperature range.
